Apex Carvers (Nancy Greene Program)

This is where it all begins! The Apex Carvers Program follows The Nancy Greene Ski League which is a national program, inaugurated shortly after Nancy Greene Raine’s gold medal win at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Winter Games. Since then, the program has been successful in introducing thousands of children to alpine skiing. Many of Canada’s top international skiers received their early training in Nancy Greene Ski League programs.

The Apex Carvers programs are designed to give young skiers (between the ages of 5 and 12 years old) an introduction to the basic skiing techniques and skills, to develop the ABC’s (agility, balance, coordination, strength/speed) in as many different snow conditions and terrains as possible and most of all, have fun on skis!

Grouped according to skill, your child skis with the same coach and group of kids all season.  The kids are challenged to be athletic on their skis and learn proper technique with games and terrain.  Each year the children are invited to participate within their club in team and individual competitions.  These events encourage new friendships in a fun and friendly environment while demonstrating skills.

Note:  Skiers should be comfortable going up the T-Bar lift and skiing down the Okanagan Run (blue).
